Short bio: Originally hailing from Kentucky, with a background in ballet and music and a bachelor’s in Psychology, she then moved to Colorado to train as a massage therapist and herbalist, and then moved to Seattle where she attended Bastyr University and earned a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She practiced adult primary care with specialties in chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, environmental illness, women’s health and sports medicine/ pain/ injuries for 10 years. Short bio: A compounding pharmacist and clinical nutritionist for over 20 years, Dr. Jim grew up farming in southern Arizona. He served his country in the Army through his college years, then moved to Texas with his wife to start their family; they were blessed with twins. He became interested in functional medicine while listening to Dr. Andrew Weil lecture at the University of Arizona. Looking at the patient as a whole rather than compartmentalizing was a better approach to health care. Dr. Jim realized that while medication is sometimes necessary, a healthcare plan including diet, exercise, and vitamins is vital to good health.

Under the mentorship of Peoples Rx founder Bill Swail, she discovered the art and science of prescription compounding and through years of study became an expert. In 2021, she became Lead Compounding Pharmacist at Peoples’ new state-of-the-art compounding facility. Here, she guides the clinical pharmacy team in formula preparation and quantitative analysis and provides education to medical providers wishing to incorporate compounded medications into their practice. Deborah has seen countless patients’ lives change for the better through compounded medications and fiercely advocates to preserve access to these vital medications for humans and animals alike.
